(LONG ISLAND, NY) November 5, 2025 — Author Nicola Delacoeur has officially released a second collection of poems entitled “Reflection,” now available in eBook format at Amazon.com.

The chapbook includes twenty poems written during a year of confusing diagnoses; physical limitations and isolation; and dreams deferred. “This year has forced me into several phases of imposed introspection,” states Delacoeur. “Faced with surmounting physical and emotional challenges while on a journey to find stability, I’ve had to revisit moments from my past that came to shape my present and gave me pause when considering the future that lay ahead.”

The poems are divided into four categories (Invisible Illness; Loves Lost; Breaking Bonds; Beauty and Becoming). Each section represents the author’s struggle to make sense of her own history as it pertains to where she finds herself today as a dynamically, disabled creative who is still searching for her place in a world that grows ever more complex on every level each day.

Delacoeur adds: “The poems in this volume may reflect my personal experiences with pain, heartbreak, isolation, and change but these themes are universal. In these verses, readers will no doubt see a reflection of themselves.”

Delacoeur’s first volume of poetry, “In the Dark,” was published late last year. The chapbook consists of 25 poems that examine emotions and thoughts associated with deep grief; physical and emotional pain; loneliness and abandonment; and bitter regret.

Delacoeur is also the author of the novel “Happenstance” (Kindle Direct Publishing, 2023), which is available in e-book format at Amazon Books. Categorized as contemporary women’s fiction, with a hint of romantic comedy and historical fiction, “Happenstance” is an introspective journey about loyalty and betrayal; love and loss; and whether choosing one’s own happiness is either an act of selfishness or a path to self-discovery. The main plot revolves around three characters who make up a rather unusual love triangle.

Consumers can read Delacoeur’s eBooks on a tablet, phone, and/or app-enabled PC or Mac. The AmazonKindle app is free to download in the Apple App Store or Google Play and is compatible with android and iOS devices.

Delacoeur is planning print editions of “Reflection”, “In the Dark” and “Happenstance,” all of which are expected to be released in the coming year. The author encourages prospective readers to follow her Instagram page, where she shares daily insights about her work and varied interests.
